Our top ranked product and "TopTenREVIEWS Gold Award" is Art Explosion 800,000 by Nova Development. If the sticker price scares you, Art Explosion is one of the few clip art software packages that still offers a book complete with all the artwork you can leisurely flip through. To top it off, all Art Explosion editions (except 200,000) work with Vista.

Clip Art Variety:
Of the 800,000 images, at least 190,000 are scalable vector illustrations. Art Explosion also includes over 1,500 fonts, but previewing them is tricky; you'll have to right-click the font then explore the CD to see samples. Art Explosion also offers web graphics, backgrounds, photos, and animations. However, Art Explosion doesn't offer sound files.
Clip Art Quality:
The Art Explosion clip art quality is excellent, providing images that are extremely sharp. We had no complaints.
Customer Service:
Our phone call was connected immediately to a customer service representative who answered our questions knowledgeably. We also received responses to our emails, but it did take a few tries to do so.
Summary:
Nova Development's Art Explosion is an exemplary product that's worth the price. As an added bonus, the CDs come in tidy folders instead of flimsy envelopes—this is handy since there are 34 discs to juggle. Each disk also has a lable that explains exactly what is inside each disk for quick reference.
