Our favorite perk in Broderbund's ClickArt 950,000—you can download all the images to your computer's hard drive if you have the space. The program also offers a built-in install feature, which makes for fast, convenient searching (but image quality suffers).

Clip Art Variety:  

Clipart 950,000 has plenty of clip art available, with choices varying between vector illustrations, web graphics, black and white and color images. We were pleased with the quantity—nearly a million images to peruse.

Search Capabilities:  

ClickArt 950,000 has good search capabilities. The left-hand navigation bar allows you to select the type of image that you want, then you select the type of graphic format, then you can enter a keyword for a specific search. You can also search all the images at once.

Advanced search options even allow you to search by tone—such as humorous, sentimental, traditional, contemporary, or spiritually themed clip art. You can create your own favorites file in the program to store clip art images that you frequently access.

Clip Art Quality:  

The quality of the clip art in ClickArt 950,000 is fair to poor. Many of the clip art images aren't as sharp, clear and detailed as images in other packages. The program's photos, however, were good quality and included about 100,000 images. The program also includes many popular web images for site design.

Customer Service:  

Broderbund customer service is excellent. They responded to our emails promptly and politely.

Summary:  

Though filled with nearly a million images that are simple to search, we'd recommend other clipart programs over Broderbund's ClickArt 950,000 because of quality issues. For $20 less, you can buy our fourth ranked product, The Big Box of Art 410,000. This package offers fewer images, but the clip art is better quality and has a price that can't be beat.
