At $19.99, "TopTenREVIEWS Bronze Award" winner, the Big Box of Art 410,000 is one of the least expensive clip art packages we reviewed. We were impressed with the quality and selection that Hemera has to offer in both of their clipart sets.
The variety offered in The Big Box of Art isn't staggering, but still impressive. What The Big Box of Art lacks in quantity it makes up for in quality.
The Big Box of Art 410,000's search tools are intuitive; we found images for every term we searched. The thumbnail view screen is adjustable and fun to browse.
To select a clip art image within a certain category, simply select the category and the program will do the rest. Navigation is intuitive—you can even search using more than one keyword to hone your results. The program doesn't come with a printed image catalog, but because the search tools were so accurate we didn't feel one was necessary.
The Big Box of Art program doesn't offer a search tool for their animations or web graphics sections; however, these categories are easy to browse without a keyword search.
The clip art quality in The Big Box of Art 410,000 is excellent. Images are sharp and versatile; you can change resolutions from 90 dpi up to 300 dpi easily and with the editing tools.
For those who don't have clip art graphic editing tools handy, Hemera includes some basics with The Big Box of Art 410,000. You can resize, trim, rotate, and even select a background before saving your clip art.
Hemera's customer service is excellent. We received prompt email response answers to our questions.
The Big Box of Art 410,000 is a good value—the package offers 40% of the images for $10 less than Hemera's flagship product, the Big Box of Art 1 Million. For those who want a good, quality clip art selection for a small price, The Big Box of Art 410,000 is a smart deal.
